Nepal’s Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ hailed Nepal as a promising investment destination during the inauguration of the third edition of the Nepal Investment Summit 2024. The summit, themed ‘Emerging Nepal’, aims to attract foreign investors and strengthen economic ties. With around 1,800 participants from various countries, including 140 from India, the event showcases 146 projects for potential investors.
Prachanda emphasised Nepal’s commitment to a liberal economic policy and providing full protection to investors. He urged global investors to leverage the opportunities available in the country. Foreign Minister Barshaman Pun highlighted the benefits of foreign investment in driving industrial and infrastructure development, job creation, and technology transfer.
The summit, expected to foster agreements and collaborations, aims to build on previous investment commitments, with a focus on realising economic growth and stability in Nepal.
