Primark has revealed a new sustainability strategy that it claims would eliminate fashion waste, cut carbon emissions in half, and improve the lives of its workers.
The new 10-year strategy includes pledges to ensure that by 2030, all garments – rather than the current 25% – are made from recycled or more environmentally sourced materials.
Primark will also make modifications to its design process to ensure that its clothes can be recycled at the end of their lives, thus reducing fashion waste and making them more robust, allowing them to last longer.
