  1. In response to the increased need for environmentally friendly alternatives to plastic, Paptic, a quickly expanding firm that makes packaging materials based on wood fiber, is entering the hygiene and feminine care packaging industry with a novel material. Along with paper and cardboard, this novel material is totally recyclable and offers a smooth and cozy user experience.

“We have developed a substance that enhances sustainability and functions better,” says Paptic’s director of the hygiene segment, Alexandros Skouras. “With our system, traditional plastics are seamlessly replaced with a recyclable and renewable alternative. Comfort is the primary consideration in personal care products, so it’s perfect for them.

Paper is completely recyclable and aligns with the principles of a circular economy because it is made from renewable wood fibers. The fact that it can be processed with existing plastic conversion machinery makes it simple for manufacturers to implement. Paptic is committed to sustainability and ethical sourcing, which is reflected in this lightweight, heat-sealable material that is also FSC certified.

  • “We are focused on developing recyclable wood fiber-based materials that help consumers reduce their use of plastic while optimizing resource efficiency and encouraging circularity,” says Skouras. “We want materials to be used for as many life cycles as we can.” He continues, saying that more than 84% of fiber-based packaging in Europe is currently gathered and recycled as raw materials for new fiber-based goods.
