At its Novara headquarters, Amut, the leading Italian provider of extrusion and recycling technology, will hold the Green Extrusion Days from October 7th to 9th. The event will feature expert lectures on state-of-the-art technology and highlight the most recent developments in the management of plastic trash.
The exhibit of an extrusion mill showing the straight “bottle to packaging” process is a major attraction. Amut’s dedication to sustainability is demonstrated by this method, which uses post-consumer PET flakes to create food-grade r-PET sheets. The extrusion line, which is outfitted with an Erema MPR reactor, converts PET flakes into 100% rPET thermoforming monolayer sheets. These sheets have a width of 1,200 mm and thicknesses ranging from 0.15 mm to 1.5 mm, making them appropriate for food contact.
With a maximum speed of 60 m/min, the system produces outstanding output rates of up to 1,400 kg/h.Proprietary software powers Amut’s specially built extrusion line, which includes EasyStart for automated startup and EasyChange for smooth production transitions.
