The organisers said the decision to cancel the physical show at the Paris Nord Villepinte venue, in favour of an exclusively virtual format, was led by the French government’s ongoing ban on events of over 5,000 people, along with new travel restrictions in many countries. The 100% Digital Show, which debuted online at the Première Vision Marketplace on July 10, will feature 1,588 e-shops and over 20,000 listed products over eight categories; leather, fabrics, accessories, yarns, denim, ‘smart creation’, designs and manufacturing. Since mid-March, the Marketplace has been available free-of-charge to PVP exhibitors, allowing them to freely integrate their collections into their e-shops with no limit on the number of products presented, and no obligations in terms of commitment or duration.

According to the organisers, this digital edition of the show will feature a more interactive and functional digital catalogue, including activated client/supplier contact tools to facilitate direct contact and remote sales discussions and transactions, and company profiles that can now integrate multimedia content, such as videos, images and texts, to enliven the presentations of exhibitors’ business activities. Other features include new digital forums showcasing the season’s most creative and representative products from the exhibitors’ collections, and “The Futures of Fashion”; an exclusive series of 20 digital events to follow online to analyse and decode both the season and the industry’s coming challenges.
