PETA India, whose motto includes the phrase “animals are not ours to wear,” opposes speciesism, a human-centered worldview. A Delhi-based firm was motivated enough to go Vegan as a result of video footage found on PETA India’s YouTube page, and will be among the retailers who use the “PETA-Approved Vegan” mark to help shoppers choose vegan items and accessories. House of Anita Dongre, Welspun India, Purvi Doshi, Paperdom, and PAIO are among the other Indian companies, designers, and brands that use the mark.
Empyrean Luxury, recognised for its Italian elegance and high-quality footwear, is celebrating its move from leather to veganism by utilising the hashtag #WeLoveAnimals on its website and offering a 10% discount to customers who use the purchase code “GOVEGAN.”
“By embracing vegan fashion, Empyrean Luxury commits to stand as a socially responsible business and never advocate any form of cruelty to animals in any way,” Empyrean Luxury owner Saksham Chaudhary adds. “Our sought-after vegan shoes will assist shoppers in putting an end to cow cruelty!”
“The company understands that cows and buffaloes are living, thinking, feeling beings, not footwear,” says Pooja Gupta, PETA India’s Chief Corporate Liaison. “Thank you, PETA India, for kicking leather to the curb and demonstrating that there is nothing more luxurious than compassion.”
