Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in partnership with the Ministry of Textiles in its endeavor to boost the Technical Textiles in the country is organizing National Digital Conference on Technical Textiles for Aatmanirbhar Bharat which is schedule to be held on 4 November, 2020.
The digital conference will focus on Agro Textiles, Medical Textiles (including Hygiene and Healthcare), Geo Textiles, Protective Textiles and Composites and Speciality Fibres, in sync with the National Technical Textiles Mission (NTTM) through parallel sectoral sessions. The discussion of the Conference will deliberate on Market Development, Export Promotion, Research, Innovation and Development (RID) and Education, Training and Skill Development of the Technical Textiles Sector.
Mr Ravi Capoor, Secretary, Ministry of Textiles has kindly agreed to address and interact with the participants at the report back session of the Conference . Prof. K VijayRaghavan, Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India has been invited for the report back session.
The Sectoral Sector of the conference will emphasize on the applications, identification of technology gaps and policy framework of the Technical Textiles through Government-Industry-Academia partnership and also to deliberate on the policy recommendations for redressal of industry issues such as testing and validation facility, standards & codes and skilling etc.
The Manufacturing Industry, Users, Technologists and Research Organisations have been scheduled to participate in large numbers in the first such conference in the post-COVID scenario.
