The company provides high-quality printing solutions with less of an impact on the environment by putting sustainability at the centre of every development.

By displaying advances in equipment, inks (pigments), and software, MS Printing Solutions and JK Group—both divisions of the Dover Company—presented themselves at ITMA 2023 as a one-stop shop solution provider for digital printing. “We provide a whole printing solution, including chemicals, equipment, and services. In the textile sector, pigment printing is becoming more popular. We will be showing a brand-new integrated solution at ITMA 2023 that focuses particularly on sustainability and includes patented ink and equipment (that is modified to produce the new ink). Thanks to integrated novel solutions, the new approach cuts the number of printing process steps with a chemistry that doesn’t require pre- and post-treatment, lowering the CO2 emissions and water consumption of the entire process. The demand for pigment is rising as more people use digital printing, according to Davide Dragoni, the company’s ink product development manager.

The innovative solutions offered by the organisation offer a growing number of environmentally friendly benefits. “At our company, sustainability is at the heart of every development, and we provide high-quality printing solutions with minimal negative environmental effects. The first single-pass printer was created ten years ago, and now, at ITMA 2023, we’re showcasing a tiny single-pass technology that can reduce the machine’s footprint by a factor of ten, according to Matteo Forte, product marketing manager at MS Printing Solutions and JK Group.

The business also provides System Plus Software, a brand-new management tool that combines calibration, printing software, and ink for flawless colour management, ensuring a colour yield that is up to 20% higher while boosting productivity. One cannot discuss innovation today without mentioning artificial intelligence (AI), according to Matteo Forte. We are utilising AI on a single-pass digital textile printer to boost print output quality while decreasing waste and enhancing accuracy.

Potential of digital printing in India

At ITMA, the company’s offerings showcased developments in three main elements – machine, ink and software. Matteo Forte opined, “By combining these three elements, we always get the best result. Being one-stop solution provider for printing, we make life of our customers very easy.”

Future is digital and that is the reason why MS Printing Solutions and JK Group have been investing heavily in digital technologies. In fashion industry, 30 per cent of total garment produced (i.e. approximately 40 billion garments) are going waste as more apparels are produced than required by the market. “With digital technology, we can reduce waste as companies will be in a position to match production with demand. At the same time, growing personalisation (customisation) trend is also leading to growth in need for digital printing. With big global brands looking to India for manufacturing their products, companies in India will have to adopt digital technologies to meet the international standards,” informed Matteo Forte.
