MP to Set Up Industry Office in Coimbatore Invites TN Investment

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Thursday announced the establishment of an industry office in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, to bolster trade and investment ties between the two states. Addressing over 1,200 industry representatives at the ‘Invest MP’ interactive session, Yadav secured investment proposals worth over Rs 3,500 crore for the state.

Lauding Coimbatore and Tirupur as industrial powerhouses, Yadav extended an invitation to Tamil Nadu industrialists to explore business opportunities in Madhya Pradesh. He highlighted the state’s rapid growth in sectors like textiles, auto, and engineering, emphasising the conducive environment for investments.

The Chief Minister announced the Global Investors Summit scheduled for February 7-8, 2025 in Bhopal, urging investors to be part of Madhya Pradesh’s development journey. He emphasised the state’s favourable ecosystem for the textile industry, including a special readymade garment policy, a skill development centre in Jabalpur, and the PM Mitra Integrated Mega Textile Park in Dhar.

Underscoring Madhya Pradesh’s automotive prowess, Yadav mentioned the presence of 10 OEMs and over 200 auto component manufacturers. The state is also developing an industrial area near Indore to promote electric vehicle manufacturing.

With over 320 industrial areas, 10 food parks, 5 IT SEZs, and multiple other special economic zones, Madhya Pradesh boasts a robust infrastructure. The state’s power surplus, mineral wealth, forest resources, water availability, and tourism potential further enhance its investment attractiveness.

The Chief Minister emphasised the state’s investor-friendly policies and excellent connectivity through expressways, making it an ideal destination for industrial setup.
