Fineotex Chemical, a specialty chemicals company based in Mumbai, has inked an MoU with Synthetic & Art Silk Mills’ Research Association (Sasmira) Institute, a textile institute, to establish a state-of-the-art R&D centre. The firm will concentrate on developing new sustainable solutions and chemicals to minimise the amount of water, time, and energy used in the textile wet processing industry.
According to Dr. John O’Donovan, the detrimental impact of process chemicals on the environment will be significantly reduced in the long run. Textile firms seeking guidance and support on their requirements in the textile wet process will benefit from this, he added.
