On Wednesday, Textiles Secretary Upendra Prasad Singh published a compendium on man-made fibre clothing at the Apparel Export Promotion Council’s executive committee meeting (AEPC).
The Council prepared the compendium, which includes information on all 90 MMF garment HS lines, as well as the top ten high potential MMF garments for the US market. The compendium contains information on the textiles used to create the 90 HS lines, as well as their suppliers. The clothing industry is vital to the economy since it employs a big portion of the population and contributes significantly to exports and GDP. Indian clothing producers have a great potential to diversify into MMF garments.
