Local industries are opposing the Haryana government’s law reserving 75% of private jobs for locals. This latest opposition came after Haryana government mandated the employment of local candidates in private sector jobs, offering them a gross monthly salary of up to Rs 30,000. As per the law, all the shops, showrooms and industries in the Haryana state have to ensure that maximum of the working staff (at least 10 people) should be local. This mainly covers all the private companies, societies, firms in the state of Haryana. To raise their concern over this mandate, many industry associations ranging from Manesar, Gurugram, Sonipat etc had approached the Punjab High Court earlier in 2021.
