The Suedwolle Group and Knitwear Lab, a Dutch design and development center, are collaborating to expand Suedwebs Innovation Hub. Through this collaboration, the knitting know-how of Knitwear Lab and the superior Merino yarn production capabilities of Suedwolle Group are combined.

A fully fashioned dress with a plated rib structure that fades into broad floats is one of the standout pieces. With the use of a multi-stepping narrowing process, the design deftly creates and drops threads to provide width while achieving incredibly thin angles. Merino wool from the Suedwolle Group’s Biella Yarn range was used to make this dress.

An additional item on display is a completely fashioned jacket that was created using a multigauge process. It is knit in 7-gauge and has a three-dimensional structure with double jersey flaps on a single jersey basis. The different flap lengths self-propect, requiring no removal power. Suedwolle Group’s Biella Yarn range features Nm 2/30 Merino wool, which is used to create this creative jacket.

The process used by Knitwear Lab guarantees that the virtual knit matches the materials and their requirements, giving designers the opportunity to see yarn options, structures, and placements before producing physical models. This method improves the efficiency of product creation by saving time and materials.
