Basavaraj Bommai, the chief minister, ordered officials to create small textile parks in 25 taluks with significant weavers’ populations on Wednesday. In order to assist weavers in directly marketing their goods, he claimed that efforts are also being made to come to an arrangement with significant internet shops.
He said micro textile parks will assist weavers from the ground up — from processing cotton to producing clothes — after immediately distributing cash under the Nekar Sanman Scheme to handloom and power loom weavers and labourers. The CM remarked, “I personally have close connections with weavers and have witnessed the issues they face up close.” “Weavers must concentrate on product quality and pursue exports. The internet forum must be used to expand their market. Bommai, insisting that his government has been significantly assisting the community, claimed that requests made of lawmakers whose districts contain a sizeable population of weavers were instantly met. He interacted with weavers from the Tumakuru, Belagavi, and Bagalkot districts in addition to Bengaluru Rural and Urban during the occasion.
Earlier, Bommai declared that his administration will soon regularise the state’s cemetery workers’ services. Bommai said the government has already regularised the services of 130 graveyard workers in Bengaluru on the model of pourakarmikas and that this benefit will soon be extended to 300 people working at cemeteries throughout the state after having breakfast with them at his Race Course residence in Bengaluru. To avoid long lines, he said, funding would be included in the state budget to build more cemeteries. He stated that efforts are being made to regularise the services of 40,000 pourakarmikas. “Services of 11,000 pourakarmikas have already been regularised in the first phase, and the remaining pourakarmikas will be regularised in the second phase,” he said.
