China accounted for 87 percent of the visits. Thirty-one cities and provinces sent local visitors. The fact that Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai, Guangdong, Shandong, Fujian, Hebei, Henan, Anhui, and Hubei made the top 10 shows how vibrant their textile industries are and how interested they are in new developments in textile technology.
India led the list of foreign visitors, same like in the 2022 edition. South Korea, Bangladesh, Indonesia, and Iran come next.
According to the show’s organizers, CEMATEX, the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT (CCPIT TEX), China Textile Machinery Association (CTMA), and China International Exhibition Centre Group Corporation (CIEC), several exhibitors expressed satisfaction with the outcomes of their participation.
“As always, ITMA ASIA + CITME confirms itself as a decisive textile machinery exhibition for the huge Chinese market,” said Federico Businaro of Sperotto Rimar. We made a lot of contacts and had promising sales opportunities.
Baldwin Technology Company VP Global Business Development Rick Stanford concurred, saying, “We thought our involvement was a really valuable experience and it produced better than expected results.” The caliber of locals that visited our exhibit was outstanding.
A number of Chinese exhibitors expressed satisfaction with their involvement as well. “A lot of customers came with the intention of sourcing fully computerized machines,” stated Tan Jingdan, General Manager of Changshu Guosheng Knitting Machinery Factory. We had a number of orders on the first day of the show. This demonstrates that the business is headed in the right direction with its goal of pursuing sophisticated, high-end solutions.
“ITMA ASIA + CITME has once again impressively demonstrated that quality and innovation are still the main factors for not only surviving against an ever-increasing competition, but also for emerging from it stronger,” said Stephan Kehry, International Sales Manager Textile Division, Erhardt+Leimer, summarizing the sentiments of numerous exhibitors.
