A contract agreement has been struck between SRV and Jykia, a municipally owned property development business, for the construction of a fibre mill in Eteläportti, Jyväskylä. The project is worth around Euro 50 million in total, with the project management contract accounting for approximately Euro 16 million. The project will be included in SRV’s August order backlog. Construction will commence in the autumn of 2021. The industrial facilities are expected to be finished by the end of 2022.
Preconstruction for a new pulp mill in Jyväskylä, Finland, has been completed by Jykia and SRV, the developer and innovator in the construction industry. The mill will produce SPINNOVA fibre – an ecological fibre made without dissolving or harmful chemicals. Suzano Finland Oy’s MFC facility and Spinnova’s product development department and headquarters will also be based in the same property.
