Owens Corning has added Vliepa GmbH to its worldwide nonwovens portfolio, which specialises in the coating, printing, and finishing of nonwovens, paper, and film for the building materials sector.
Owens Corning has announced the acquisition of a German coatings firm located in Germany. The acquisition will allow it to better serve European clients and drive the expansion of building and construction market applications in the area. Owens Corning will acquire ownership of two production sites in Brüggen, Germany, under the terms of the agreement.
Vliepa GmbH, a German manufacturer of polyisocyanurate insulation and gypsum boards, has agreed to combine with Sandri. “We think Vliepa’s technology and skills are an excellent match to our nonwoven solutions, production capacity, and commercial connections,” says Sandri. The firm employs around 70 employees and anticipates revenues of approximately $30 million in 2020.
