The Silk Board’s director investigates the prospects of silk development

Dr. K. Satyanarayana, Director of the Central Silk Research and Training Institute in Ranchi, toured the Central Silk Board project centre at Kharsawan to investigate the feasibility of developing silk.
A large-scale hot air drier will be installed at Kharsawan Project Center Kharsawan to dry cocoons. The cocoons can be stored in the dryer all year and fed to the CFC. During this time, the director visited the site of the Kharsawan Project Center Hot Air Dryer. Aside from that, he gave a lot of instructions. Satyanarayana stated on the occasion that the Government of India is implementing numerous development initiatives.
Silk Samagra Yojana is a scheme of the Central Silk Board to promote the production of silk. The main objectives of this scheme are maintenance of stock of breeders, improvement in breed through R&D projects and information links related to silk production. Sericulture in India is a cottage industry which provides a substantial livelihood to the people in villages and towns and has huge potential for income generation.
