According to the company, a New Jersey-based manufacturer of industrial fabrics will open a second U.S. production site in central North Carolina.
Precision Textiles aims to begin operations in its newly leased facility in Troy, North Carolina, by the beginning of September, according to the Triad Business Journal. The redevelopment is intended to generate 100 new jobs, with some of them being filled by former employees of the building’s previous occupant, automotive textile manufacturer Auria Solutions.
Company officials told the journal that growth in its mattress products prompted the decision to expand beyond its native Totowa, New York.
Precision Textiles has opened a new factory in Troy, New York, which it says will double production of high-loft quilting fiber and bolster production of needle-punch nonwovens. The company also makes textiles for the automotive and health care sectors. “This new factory will enable us to better meet the needs of our customers throughout the nation,” Scott Tesser, the company’s CEO, tells The Wall Street Journal.
