‘Textile India 2020’ Virtual Fair To Be Held In November

SRINAGAR – Following the success of EPCH and CEPC Virtual Fairs, the Ministry of Textiles is preparing to host another Mega Virtual Show – ‘Textile India 2020’ – in November to put into the global platform the export and business community related to the handicrafts and handloom market.

The event will be promoted globally and organizations like India Brand Equity Foundation (IBEF) and Invest India will be involved for branding and promotion of the mega event across the globe.

In a statement, the Handicrafts & Handloom Directorate, Kashmir, urged Jammu and Kashmir craft exporters and entrepreneurs to take part in the upcoming Virtual Fair, which will offer excellent marketing opportunities to sell their popular product line.

The statement added that the UT Government is making strenuous efforts in view of the Covid-19 pandemic to encourage the involvement of craft businesses in exhibitions in virtual mode that offer an ideal opportunity to sell finished handicrafts and handloom items in outside markets.

The Handicrafts and Handloom Directorate have called on exporters, consortia and craft entrepreneurs to come up with their respective business profiles, booth exhibition, virtual showrooms and e-catalogs to make an impact on online buyers at future virtual-mode exhibits. The statement added that feedback obtained from Kashmir craft businessmen ‘s participation at EPCH and CEPC Virtual Fairs was very positive with thousands of business queries generated and new buyers and destinations being explored.  

The craft exporters and entrepreneurs from Jammu and Kashmir participated in 49th IHGF Virtual Fair organized by EPCH in July and India Carpet Expo organized by CEPC in August in which the participants were conferred with several awards.
