According to a statement, the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has promised the All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (Aptma) of taking prompt steps to ensure uninterrupted gas supply to the export-oriented industry.
The gas utility also stated that it will take strong action against delinquent officials who resort to disconnecting gas connections or sending spurious notifications to mills for various bogus reasons.
The managing director of the SNGPL has assured of immediate restoration of gas supply connection in compliance with court orders. Syed Ali Javaid Hamdani also took notice of the intentional delay in the implementation of the court orders by some regional offices of the gas utility. He said that the company would develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) to expeditiously settle complaints of the Aptma members.
