Sciessent has chosen Harris & Menuk, a company which specializes in the sales, marketing and research and development of textile auxiliaries, specialty chemicals, colorants and enzymes, to facilitate distribution of its Agion antimicrobial to textile and apparel manufacturers in Sri Lanka.

According to the Export Development Board Sri Lanka, Sri Lankan apparel manufacturers and suppliers have gained a strong reputation worldwide for ethical manufacturing of high-quality apparel trusted by the iconic global fashion brands. Entirely privately owned and operated, Sri Lanka’s apparel and textile manufacturing industry is the most significant and dynamic contributor to the country’s economy. Sri Lanka’s top three apparel companies are among the world’s 50 most important suppliers, and in 2018, the industry’s aggregate export revenue reached nearly $5B.

“As a leader in the textile and apparel industry, Sri Lanka is an important market for our company; therefore, we needed a strategic distribution partner with strong local business relationships who can provide in-depth market intelligence and exceptional on the ground customer support,” said Paul Ford, CEO of Sciessent.

“Harris & Menuk embodies all of these qualities as a preferred supplier to major players in the textile processing industry throughout Asia. We look forward to a successful business partnership with them as we expand the global reach of our technology.”
