The meeting of three days on Gandhian considerations spinning around neighborhood economy, town independence, recovery of provincial livelihoods, the purpose of khadi and significance of social ventures named “S.A.L.T. Stories” at the Madras School of Social Work on Saturday.
The meeting has a handloom exhibition cum-deal between 11 a.m. also, 7 p.m. for those keen on getting hand-turned khadi, which is co-ordinated by India handmade collective.
The display will highlight natural desi cotton and normal colored articles of clothing, hand block printed saris, Bengal muslin cotton, Gandhigram muslin saris, Lambadi ancestral weaving, Kowdhi art fabrics, handloom saris and textures and Karunganni cotton texture.
According to press release, On Sunday evening, organic food and cultural programs will be held. Spinning and weaving workshops and regular coloring exhibits will be led for guests.
