Korla Bingjuan Garment Co., a garment factory in northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, has built a production line in eight days to make protective suits for medical professionals in a nationwide effort to contain the coronavirus outbreak and reduce supply shortage. Workers need to go through four disinfection procedures to enter the workshop.

According to general manager Liu Xianghong, the company is now engaged in round-the-clock production, a news agency reported.

The company is based in the Korla Economic and Technological Development Zone and has become the first medical protective clothes producer in southern Xinjiang.

The production line passed an official appraisal recently and started production soon after. It is churning out 1,000 sets of suits daily.
