PDEXCIL welcomes the extension of the RoSCTL scheme for apparels and made-ups till 31st March, 2024

Mr. M.A. Ramasamy, Chairman, PDEXCIL has welcomed the announcement of the extension of the Rebate of State and Central taxes and Levies (RoSCTL) till 31st March, 2024. PDEXCIL is grateful to Hon’ble Prime Minister for extending the scheme. It will ensure a level playing field for the Indian exporters, and Indian products and will make them globally competitive

Export of powerloom products is about 8.6 Bn US$. Major fabric production is by powerloom sector which employs about 6.3 million workers. Labour intensive textile segments got a shot in the arm with extension. PDEXCIL is representing MSME units and having huge share in export, employment and production. 

PDEXCIL urged the Government to take a call on various other textiles issues which will benefit the powerloom & MSME sector. The council has demanded to include entire textile value chain under the RoDTEP scheme & factor MEIS in RODTEP rates, provision of enhanced working capital limit etc. 

Chairman, PDEXCIL also urged to Government to announce the RoDTEP rates soon. He also requested to increase the support of Government to MSME powerloom sector with Covid relief package which will help small weavers of India to cope up with the challenging time.
