Lenzing Group, which is the leading producer of sustainably produced fibers for the global textile and nonwoven industries, is continuing its great achievement towards carbon neutrality all over the Group. Recently, they successfully completed the air purification and Sulphur recovery plant at Lenzing. They started this project by investing EUR 40 Mn in the year 2019.
By using this technology, the plant will enable to reduce carbon emissions by 15,000 metric tons. This will also make them more self-sufficient for processing, and will enhance the site’s competitive standards in terms of sustainability.
Their aim of halving the greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 and achieve climate neutrality by 2050.
