Kornit hires a 3D expert

Kornit Digital has expanded its portfolio with the acquisition of 3D printing expert Voxel8 from the United States.
The Israeli garment and textile printer maker announced the purchase for the Somerville, Massachusetts-based firm earlier this week.
Kobi Mann, chief technology officer of Kornit Digital, stated that Voxel8 provides direct 3D print-on-part capabilities as well as powerful design tools that can be readily linked with any production floor software process.
He also claims that it has “versatile chemistry that permits on-the-fly formulation of high-performance elastomers to modify the material characteristics of the resultant printed structures by several orders of magnitude.”
Kornit Digital has announced the acquisition of Voxel8, a 3D printing technology company. Kornit’s chief executive: “With this advanced and proven 3D technology, we will disrupt the business of fashion” The company said its revenue for the three-month period ending 30 June 2021 increased by 118% year-on-year to $81.7m (£59m), net of $6.6m attributed to the impact of warrants.
