According to official figures, China’s clothing sector reported increasing sales and profit in the first seven months of 2021.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the combined operational revenue of 12,510 big clothing enterprises reached CNY779.9 billion from January to July, an increase of 11.04 percent year on year.
Total profits of these enterprises increased 9.81 percent year on year to CNY33.2 billion during the time, while combined output increased 15.78 percent year on year to CNY13.21 billion.
Exports of clothing and accessories climbed 32.9 percent year on year to USD88.1 billion.
