IITs antimicrobial mask becomes a must!

New Delhi: India has begun to work on recovery strategies and ways to kick-start the economy once the nation recovers from the Covid 19 pandemic’s shadows. In the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT), the Textiles Ministry has roped to address both immediate and medium-term action plans for the industry in the textile industry’s post-Covid situation.

IIT Madras will lead the Aboriginal Machine Manufacturing and Machine Tools community while IIT Bombay would manage the establishment of local laboratories and the promotion of indigenous technology.

Textile industry, after agriculture’s second-largest employer, is hit hard by the Covid-19 pandemic and the resulting nationwide lockdown and global restrictions. Action by the government is critical, as is the sector are 2.2% and 12.22%, respectively and a large part of the value chain is informal.
The ministry is looking at proposals for big game changers. Opinions are being collected, and talks are on for recovery after Covid-19. There’s an extensive research going on at that point, “one official said.
