IHGF-Delhi fair generates good business!

Organised virtually from 4 to 9 November 2020 by Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH), the 50th edition of IHGF-Delhi fair Autumn’ 2020 is expected to generate good business for its participants.

As per the EPCH, exhibitors received good response from overseas buyers, buying agents and domestic volume buyers.

Over 2,000 overseas buyers from 106 countries explored sourcing opportunities from India on this platform. Around 1,400 Indian companies participated in the show.

“The IHGF Delhi Fair contributes significantly towards exports of handicrafts as well as the promotion of crafts clusters from across the country.  EPCH has tried to match with the activities which were being organised during physical show such as ramp shows, webinars and craft demonstrations by artisans,” said Rakesh Kumar, Director General (DG), EPCH.

Ravi K. Passi, Chairman, EPCH informed that the show had series of fashion shows on accessories be it beads clutches and sling bags, resort wear, stoles, sequence dresses, capes, masks and much more products.”

Along with many items of handicrafts, the event also highlighted hand embroidery and artistic textiles of Kutch (Gujarat), Kani Shawls craft of Srinagar (Jammu & Kashmir), traditional artistic Kulu Shawls of Mandi (Himachal Pradesh).

The event also had series of webinars and panel discussion on topics like “Design Trend Forecasts-Spring Summer 2021/22”; “Sell Direct To Consumers Globally – Also Do B2b Sales – Deliver Commerce Everywhere, Building Capabilities For Digital World By Amazon”; “Sustainable Fashion – Why is it future?” etc.
