The 53rd edition of Filo, will be held on Thursday the 27th and Friday the 28th of February 2020 at MiCo – Milan Convention Centre, located in via Gattamelata, 5 in Milan.

Paolo Monfermoso, responsible for Filo, explains the change of location as follows: ‘We have decided to leave the historic Filo’s headquarter – Palazzo delle Stelline – in order to ensure a bigger exhibiting space to our fair. Moving to MiCo enables us to have a wider area, which will be used to offer to exhibitors and visitors some services that Filo couldn’t make available exactly because of lack of space’.

Paolo Monfermoso points out that: ‘Filo will not change its identity, continuing with the scrupulous selection of exhibitors, which will remain the companies of great excellence, careful to sustainability, innovation and research. In addition, starting from the 53rd edition held in February 2020, in the new exhibiting spaces, we will have the possibility to enhance the proposals of exhibitors thanks to a wider but also more creative and appealing Trend Area, in line with the characteristics of a fair as Filo. We will enlarge the FiloLounge, reserved to exhibitors and press agents, and in the meantime we will set out new services especially developed for visitors, so that they can devote all their time and their attention to the collections exhibited in the booths, for the entire duration of the fair’.
MiCo, which is immediately recognisable for its comet shaped covering, has become in few years a point of reference for international exhibitions. Together with the functionality of exhibiting spaces, there is its strategic position, near City Life, one of the most innovative and avantgarde districts in Milan. The area is easily accessible by car and by subway and it has fast connections with railway station and Milan’s airports.

Monfermoso concludes saying that: ‘We are trying to create new clothes for Filo, which is more suited to the needs of a textile system that is affected by huge changes, which are related to economic, social and cultural aspects too’.

However, under the clothes, Filo’s philosophy remains untouched, being focused on quality, professionalism, concreteness and efficacy’.
