BPPL is preparing for the third phase of its growth

BPPL Holdings PLC, a manufacturer of sanitary and janitorial goods, has finished its second phase of expansion and is preparing for the next step, which will include the establishment of a plant within the next 18 months.
In an interview last week, BPPL Managing Director Dr. Anush Amarasinghe told the Business Times, “We intend to build up a plant for yarn and brush production in one of the industrial zones.” He stated that the facility, which was built during the second phase of the company’s expansion, increased capacity by 120% to 1,440 tonnes per year from 660 tonnes per year.
BPPL’s Dr. Amarasinghe said the company uses 3000 tonnes of plastics annually. He added that the company wants to double this within the next three years. In Q12021/22 ‘s consolidated revenue was Rs. 1 billion, up over the corresponding period in the previous year by 70 per cent. The group supplies brushes for professional use where cleaning is far superior to domestic cleaning needs such as construction, oil and gas and food.
