The Andhra Pradesh (AP) Government has launched the State Export Action Plan-2021 laying path for export-led industrialisation.
YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, CM of the state, released the Action Plan for the state and individual districts during the Vanijya Utsav-2021 held at Vijayawada.
He said that the individual district plans should bring a sense of collaborative competition amongst the stakeholders and promote the district as an export hub and hoped the Action Plan served as a ready trade guide.
The Action Plan gave right direction to the trading and export community to help the state achieve the vision of doubling exports by 2030.
The Export Action Plan was a guiding compass for industry and Government to bring coherence in the efforts made and showcase to the world the strengths and product availability from the state.
As per this plan, the State Government is crafting a 10-year Action Plan with pit-stops every 2-3-year-interval to monitor progress and re-align strategies adapting to the global scenario.
The plan draws separate plans to each district like cotton bales in Kurnool, cotton yarn in Guntur, and fibre and readymade garments in Anantapur.
The CM also launched an e-portal specifically for exports.
He also presented Export Awards to C. Saravanan, CEO of Brandix India Apparel; K. Srinivasa Rao, MD, Amaravati Textiles and many others.
