The Ludhiana textile industry has questioned the PSPCL’s decision to exclude the Amritsar textile sector from the recent power outages.

Amritsar’s textile sector has been designated as a “Continuous Process Industry” and is free from the required weekly vacation.

The Federation of Industrial and Commercial Organizations (FICO) has condemned the government and PSPCL’s “partial behaviour.” They asked that the PSPCL waive the city textile industry’s mandated weekly off. KK Seth, chairman of FICO, stated, “Why is the Amritsar business exempted? We don’t comprehend such a skewed attitude.”
