According to Hirdaramani Group, the Sri Lankan textile sector’s garment exports could top $8 billion by 2025

During the American Chamber’s recent “Be Inspired” webinar series, Aroon Hirdaramani, Director, Hirdaramani Group, stated that the Sri Lankan textile business may top $8 billion in garment exports by 2025. According to a Daily News report, Hirdaramani claimed that with additional local value addition efforts such as the fabric park in Eravur, Sri Lanka is well positioned to expand. BOI enterprises are benefiting from the government’s immunisation effort. The first vaccination was administered to more than 90% of garment employees, while the second jab was administered to the remaining 10%.
In order to create a more solid business climate, the Hirdaramani Group has chosen to collaborate with a select high-value partners. He acknowledged that policymakers were in contact with the sector and that the necessity of the trading mechanism was acknowledged. According to Jeevith Senaratn, Senior Manager of Star Garments Group, the industry’s exports are still 10% lower than in 2019. According to Hasib Omar, Director of Brandix Clothing Company, the industry is exceedingly polluting and will be a future cause of concern for clients. According to Shirendra Lawrence, Executive Director of MAS Holdings, the new manufacturing techniques may place an additional load on the company.
