The Indian government will shortly sign an agreement with Bangladesh to export 10 lakh bales of cotton each year.
“The Memorandum of Understanding will permit a government-to-government transaction. The MoU will be inked soon,” said Cotton Corporation of India Limited Chairman-cum-Managing Director Pradeep Kumar Agarwal (CCI).
According to Agarwal, the CCI would manage exports to Bangladesh. Kharif Outlook: Encouraged by higher profits, cotton producers may plant more cotton this year.
