India Skills 2024 Showcases Nation’s Finest Talent

Electronics Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI) proudly announces the outstanding achievements of 24 candidates who showcased their skills at IndiaSkills 2024. This prestigious event, organized by the Ministry of Skills Development and Entrepreneurship with support from NSDC, was held at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi, from May 15th to 19th. Demonstrating impressive talent and dedication, participants excelled in various categories, including Autonomous Mobile Robotics, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Electronics, Mechatronics, and Electrical Installations. These remarkable individuals will now represent India at the esteemed WorldSkills Competition in Lyon, France, this September, where they will compete against 1,500 participants from over 70 countries.

IndiaSkills, the country’s biggest skill competition, is designed to demonstrate the highest standards of skilling and offers a platform to youth to showcase their talent at national and international level. IndiaSkills Competition at national level is held every two years with the support of State Governments, Industry, Sector Skill Councils (SSCs), State Skill Development Missions (SSDMs), corporates and partner institutes.

WorldSkills Lyon 2024 is the largest global event to showcase skills excellence. It aims to inspire young people to develop their abilities, expand their network, and push themselves at every aspect of their jobs.

Their exceptional skills, dedication, and innovative spirit set a new benchmark and pave the way for future advancements in their chosen fields. We are committed to supporting and nurturing such talent as they prepare to represent India on the global stage at WorldSkills.”

Leading the pack in the Autonomous Mobile Robotics category are Mohsin Nasir and Mustafa Suhair Gaani from Jammu & Kashmir, who clinched Gold medal. Roshan Kumar Das and Soman Das from Odisha secured the Silver medal, while Angelo Antu and Afnan Yusuf from Kerala, as well as Giftson Prince and Sree Charan VS from Tamil Nadu, earned the Bronze medals, showcasing exceptional skills and innovation.

In the Refrigeration & Air Conditioning category, Aakash from Haryana bagged the Gold medal, Tapas Samal from Odisha claimed the Silver medal, and Shailesh Khandagale from Maharashtra received the Bronze medal. Similarly, in the Electronics category, Vijay Kumar Mahto from Odisha secured the Gold medal, Krishna Mallawat from Maharashtra won the Silver medal, and Mamatha J from Karnataka took home the Bronze medal, demonstrating technical expertise and ingenuity.

The Electrical Installations category saw Baruna Sahu from Odisha emerging victorious with the Gold medal, while Prem Pal Singh from Uttar Pradesh and M Dhanush from Karnataka earned the Silver medals, and Angeet Bala from the Andaman & Nicobar Islands received the Bronze medal, highlighting their exceptional skills and commitment to excellence.

In the Mechatronics category, Darshan Gowda and Bhanu Prasad from Karnataka secured the Gold medal, with Hemant S and Udayakumar Betageri, also from Karnataka, clinching the Silver medal. Giri Prasad Reddy from Andhra Pradesh and Bharath S from Karnataka received the Bronze medals, showcasing their dedication and hard work.

IndiaSkills-2024 is a testament to the power of perseverance and the pursuit of excellence, showcasing the incredible potential within every individual.
