Large industrialists and garment industry exporters praised Bihar’s textile policy as among the best in the nation. During a visit to the industry, a few of the nation’s leading industrialists saw the facilities at factories that were in operation in Muzaffarpur, Bihar. The event was graced by Shri Giriraj Singh, Union Minister of Textiles, & Shri Vijay Kumar Sinha, Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, as well as Shri Nitish Mishra, Bihar Minister of Industry.

Union Textiles Minister Shri Giriraj Singh addressed all of the major industrialists and exporters of textiles and apparel, saying, “Please consider Bihar as a location for RMG manufacturing and textiles hub.” Others in the value chain who are involved in spinning, processing, etc., will join the fight if RMG manufacture moves here. having a one crore investment, this is one of the sectors that creates the most jobs, having the ability to immediately employ 50–70 people.

The minister stated that Bihar will serve as a gateway to the Northeast and that investments made in the state would provide a large number of job opportunities. Shri Singh also recommended that the state government create a revenue-sharing model for a few centers and refine it until it reaches saturation, concentrating on a single cluster at a time.

Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister, Shri Vijay Kumar Sinha, said in his speech that the state is home to Bhakti, Sakthi, and Mukti. He applauded the abundance of businesspeople who are eager to investigate the prospect of making investments in the state. We would gladly welcome any investment in the state, he declared.

In his speech, Bihar’s Industry Minister, Shri Nitish Mishra, stated, “Investors can take advantage of Bihar’s plug-and-play offerings and enticing policy incentives.” Visit Bihar, and we will provide you with a plethora of assistance. He went on to say that when employees are located closer to their homes, their productivity will rise. Large numbers of RMG industrialists were thanked by the minister on their visit.

“The garment exports from Bihar in the years 2023–24 registered a growth of 58.6%, while India registered a decline of 10.2% in the same period,” stated Shri Sudhir Sekhri, Chairman of the AEPC, during his speech at the Investor Meet. This suggests that the state of Bihar has enormous potential for exporting and manufacturing clothing. We must also keep in mind, though, that Bihar’s percentage of India’s overall garment exports was only.09%, down from only.05% in the past. All industrialists were urged by Chairman AEPC to consider investing in Bihar and to take advantage of the enabling laws and encouraging business environment.

Without a doubt, the “Bihar Industrial Investment Promotion Policy (Textile and Leather Policy), 2022” is a fantastic policy. I also want to thank you for your support and for pushing this policy forward. In order to fully achieve the ambitious “Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyaan” announced by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, apparel exporters undoubtedly wish to rely more and more on local supply chains, Chairman AEPC continued.

Furthermore, Chairman AEPC noted that many skilled and semi-skilled workers from the state of Bihar are employed in the garment industry around the nation, particularly in Tirupur, Surat, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, and Chandigarh. The availability of those trained and semi-skilled laborers locally will result in cost savings throughout the manufacturing process.
