The two eminent Business Associations will work closely to promote Industry 4.0 initiatives.
Ahmedabad : The Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (IACC) and NASSCOM Centre of Excellence (CoE) signed an MoU to help manufacturers accelerate the adoption of emerging digital technologies and promote Industry 4.0 initiatives nationally.
The MoU was signed by Pankaj Bohra, National Executive Vice President, IACC, and Amit Saluja, Senior Director and Centre Head of NASSCOM CoE.
“The adoption of emerging digital technologies and Industry 4.0 tools will help the manufacturing industry to achieve greater efficiency, safety, sustainability, improved quality and standardization of products for India to emerge as a global manufacturer.
We are happy to sign this MoU and look forward to engaging with NASSCOM CoE to facilitate the adoption of Industry 4.0 by our members,” said Mr. Bohra.
“IACC has a pan India presence and represents a cross-section of the US and Indian industry. NASSCOM CoE aims to build the largest collaborative ecosystem to co-create solutions to improve productivity, efficiency, and safety in manufacturing plants by adopting AI & IoT led digital technologies. The two organisations will work closely towards creating greater awareness about Industry 4.0 and its adoption by IACC members,” said Mr. Saluja.
According to the MoU, IACC will promote Industry 4.0 initiatives along with NASSCOM CoE through various channels. NASSCOM CoE will also offer IACC members from the manufacturing sector an opportunity to join its Smart Manufacturing Forum, which aims to support manufacturers to start, scale and sustain the adoption of Industry 4.0 solutions. The IACC members will also be eligible for benefits such as skill and capacity building by NASSCOM CoE, handholding support for the digital journey, and branding and market reach.
Moreover, IACC will extend its support in creating awareness about the Forum and connect its members with NASSCOM CoE for joining the forum. IACC will also provide a platform to manufacturers who have successfully adopted digital solutions in the form of expert sessions, roundtables, and discussions.
IACC is the pre-eminent chamber dedicated to improving trade & investments between India and the US. It engages with policymakers, regulators, and business leaders in both countries to strengthen Indo-US trade relations.
NASSCOM CoE is a Digital India initiative led jointly by the Union Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology and Gujarat’s Department of Science & Technology. NASSCOM CoE works closely with manufacturing enterprises, deep-tech start-ups, system integrators, technology companies, academia, research organizations, and the government.
