According to Dipali Goenka, MD & CEO of Welspun India, the world’s largest home textiles manufacturer, options to capitalise on the association of the British label’s Christy brand with the Wimbledon tennis tournament would be explored.

In keeping with Wimbledon’s mission and the colour discourse that transcends gender, the brand this year added a line of blossoms in seasonal pink and fuchsia to the line in addition to the traditional classic green and purple towel.

In 1988, Christy was named the Wimbledon’s official towel supplier and producer. Welspun’s relationship with Wimbledon started in 2006 after it bought Christy.
