HGH India closes its fifteenth edition with more exhibitors.

Set to explore the South with its 16th edition going to Bengaluru in December

10th July 2024, India:

HGH India, a well-established, bi-annual trade show for home textiles, home décor, home furniture, houseware & gifts, closed its 15th edition that was taking place at BEC, Mumbai. Spread across four days, the show saw a footfall of 42,140 visitors from 640 cities and towns across India, including 410 international visitors from 33 countries. The show was graced by some eminent personalities like –

·       Smt. Amrit Raj, DC Handicrafts, Ministry of Textiles, GOI,

·       Smt. Roop Rashi, IA&AS, Textile Commissioner, Ministry of Textiles, GOI

·       ID Ketan Sheth, Chairman, IIID, Mumbai;

·       Ar. Gaurish Chandawarkar, Directors, IES College of Architecture

·       Ar. Chandrashekhar Kanetkar, Principal Architect, Chandrashekhar Design INC

Mr. Arun Roongta, Managing Director, HGH India, said, “In anticipation of good consumer demand in the forthcoming Diwali and festive seasons, retailers and distributions took high interest in sourcing innovative products, which were available in plenty at this edition of HGH India. Over 90% of the exhibitors reported excellent business results, which was very satisfying for us as organisers. Trade buyers too felt that the design and quality of Indian products has improved enormously, as reflected in the display of several exhibitors. Such indicators encouraged us to explore South and take HGH India to Bengaluru where the 16th edition will take place. So, for us, all eyes on South, this December.”

Innovations and New launches at the show:

ü  One of the largest manufacturers of woven textiles in India and one of the largest denim fabric manufacturers in the world, Arvind Lifestyle, launched bed sheets for the first time, at HGH India

ü Jindal lifestyle also entered cookware for the first time with their brand Arttd’inox alongwith other precious gifts in steel

ü  Kansyam Metalex launched a full dinner set in bronze, linking it back to the roots and stating the fact clearly that how Bronze, as a metal, holds good and healthy properties for us

ü  Tramontina, a Brazilian brand with over 100 years of experience in manufacturing high-end housewares products made its foray into the Indian market, through HGH India

ü  India’s largest exporters of furniture, The Orange Tree, based in Jodhpur, exhibited at HGH India, for the first time

ü  In the Handicrafts category, some unique crafts like carving in limestone, came to surface and were much liked and appreciated by the visitors

ü  The Bureau of Indian standards (BIS), conducted a conference at HGH India, on the industry standards for the BIS certified water bottles and vacuum standards to understand the manufacturing and import of these products in India

ü  HGH India saw nearly 15% of the brands from the international market, and that indicates that the Indian domestic market is definitely creating a pull factor in the international space

Celebrities who visited the show:

Celebrity Chef Vicky Ratnani and Actress Kajal Aggarwal chose HGH India as a platform to launch their respective brand licencing programs. Actress Sonali Bendre visited the Refresh Mattress booth, being their brand ambassador, where she launched new product range in mattresses, for the brand. HGH India also had Celebrity Chef Harpal Singh Sokhi at the Borosil booth where he graced the occasion for the brand. With Wonderchef being one of the exhibitors, Chef Sanjeev Kapoor was also present at the show to interact with the business community and trade circle.

HGH India has been working with the home improvement sector for over a decade now.
