Global recessionary trends have taken a toll on India’s home textile exports. Exports of home textiles (under HS Code 63) were down 1.28% to US$ 4586.05 million, during 2015-16. India’s main items under the segment – bed linens, table linens amounted to US$ 1430.95 million during the year, growing at a rate of 1.75%. Indian Toilet and Kitchen Linen of Cotton Terry Toweling had a growth of 804.75 percent in the year 2020 which had a hike of 849.4 in the months of Jan to Oct for the year 2021 with the change of 5.55%. Whereas Bed Linen made of cotton not Knitted or Crocheted was 143.73 percent in the months of Jan to Oct for the year 2020 which in the year 2021 was 708.1% the change seen is 392.66. Coming to the Bed Linen, Printed of Cotton, Not Knitted or Crocheted the numbers in the year 2020 from Jan to Oct was 18.24 percent which grew to 98.51% in the year 2021 from Jan to Oct and the change estimated is 440.08.  Home textiles, especially cotton home textiles, were expected to drive the growth of value-added cotton textile exports. And the expectations from the segment continue to remain high. Table Linen, Knitted or Crocheted saw a change of 22.39% with estimated profit in the year 2020 from Jan to Oct was 42.7 percent which rose to 52.26 percent in the year 2021 from Jan to Oct. Bed Linen, Knitted Or Crocheted calculated units for the year 2020 was 28.21 which rises to 41.32 percent in the year 2021 from Jan to Oct the change seen is 46.47. The bed linens (other than printed) made of Textile Materials, Not Knitted or Crocheted saw 14.45 percent profit in the year 2020 which in the year 2021 was 46.6 the total change units are 222.49. Toilet and Kitchen Linen of Cotton, Other than Terry Fabrics, had a profit of 26.03 percent in the year 2020 from Jan to Oct which in the year 2021 was 33.31 and saw a change of 27.97. Whereas Table Linen made of Cotton, Not Knitted or Crocheted saw a unit of 10.02 percent in the year 2020 from Jan to Oct which rose to 21.61 percent from the month Jan to Oct for the year 2021 and the percent change estimated is 115.67. Bed Linen, Printed, of Manmade Fibers, Not Knitted Or Crocheted saw a change of 21.11 percent which estimated in the year 2020 is 8.86 which increased to 10.73 percent in the year 2021 from Jan to Oct. Bed Linen (Other Than Printed) of Manmade Fibers, Not Knitted or Crocheted saw a profit of 6.21 in the year 2020 from Jan to Oct which increased to 12.42 in the month of 2021 and the total change noted is 100.00. Table Linen made of Textile Materials, Not Knitted or Crocheted recorded units in the year 2020 from Jan to Oct i.e. 9.05 which in the months from Jan to Oct in the year 2021 was 9.78 the change seen is 8.07 percent. Toilet and Kitchen Linen made of Textile Materials saw a change of 34.39% which calculated in the year 2020 was 4.74 from Jan to Oct and in the year 2021, the units were 6.37%. Toilet and Kitchen Linen of Manmade Fibers gained a profit of 0.48 percent in the year 2020 from Jan to Oct which in the month of 2021 was 1.06 percent the total change seen is 120.83. Bed Linen, Printed, of Textile Materials, Not Knitted or Crocheted saw a unit change of 107.14 which recorded in the year 2020 from Jan to Oct was 0.7 and in the year 2021 from Jan to Oct was 1.45. Table Linen of Manmade Fibers, Not Knitted or Crocheted recorded a profit of 1.89 in the year 2020 which saw a descending unit in the year 2021 of 1.1 from Jan to Oct the change calculated is -41.80
