Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, the chief minister of India’s Himachal Pradesh state, recently said that his administration would rename the State Handicrafts and Handloom Corporation Ltd. as “Him-Craft.”
An official statement states that the action is intended to increase the income of artisans and broaden their consumer base for economic growth and increased financial stability.
Sukhu stated that the new trade name will be reflected in all official documents, including business cards, letterheads, email signatures, and the official website, consolidating all handloom and handicrafts products under a single umbrella brand in addition to guaranteeing authenticity, improving customer satisfaction, and fostering trust for the state’s handicrafts and handloom products.
The government intends to create a marketing plan to promote handicrafts and handloom goods in domestic and foreign markets. The new company’s logo website, social media presence, and marketing initiatives to increase sales,” according to the chief minister, who was reported by a news organisation.
