HAY and STF launch creative open space in Zurich

HAY and Swiss Textile & Fashion (STF) Institute, have announced the launch of new dynamic space, HAY Lab, in STF’s open space from June 8, 2020. The cooperation between HAY and the STF will allow versatility and aesthetic of HAY’s collection to be demonstrated in a living context, where visitors, clients, and students will be invited to use every product.

The HAY Lab is conceived as a destination that will generate creativity by attracting design-oriented visitors, while also allowing customers to see and experience HAY products in use. “We are very happy to welcome the Danish design brand, HAY, with its HAY Lab and its Swiss team to our Open Space,” Sonja Amport, director of the Swiss Textile & Fashion Institute, said in a press release.

The cooperation of an international furniture manufacturer with a textile and fashion school is a novelty in Europe, and it leaves many creative possibilities open and makes us very proud. The novel cooperation HAY x STF gives both partners access to new knowledge, innovative concepts, and new target groups.”

Since its founding, HAY has sought to create functional and beautiful products in cooperation with some of the world’s most talented, curious, and courageous designers, and this has result-ed in many fruitful collaborations. “The partnership with STF a very exciting partnership for us,” Mette and Rolf Hay, co-founders and creative directors of the eponymous international de-sign company, said in a press release.

HAY has always supported young and promising designers, and that’s exactly what the Institute does, while fostering a creative environment for its students that emphasises originality. When looking for a HAY space in Zurich, it felt like an immediate match.”
