Purified terephthalic acid (PTA), MELT, and MEG costs have all fallen at Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL), the largest polyester value chain participant in India. The business raised the price of PTA and MELT last week. To determine the price of polyester raw materials, the corporation analyses the pricing trend in China and changes in crude oil prices.
RIL is the dominant player in India, thus the market there follows its price trends. The corporation had raised the cost of polyester stable fibre (PSF) to 106 per kg at the start of this fortnight.
Market reports indicate that RIL set the prices for PTA at $82.00 per kg (-0.50), MEG at $56.10 per kg (unchanged), and MELT at $89,76 per kg (-0.43). Beginning on February 11, new prices for polyester raw materials will be in effect.
