Freudenberg Performance Materials Apparel (Freudenberg), a renowned provider of cutting-edge technical solutions in the apparel industry, is excited to announce the introduction of two advanced thermal insulation products to its global comfortemp® range. DOWN FEEL WA 150LB and FIBERBALL WB 400LB, developed using low-level Bisphenol A (BPA) recycled PET fibres (rPET), exemplify Freudenberg’s dedication to innovation and sustainability.

The addition of these two products to the comfortempⓇ global range offers eco-conscious and high-quality alternatives to down, significantly enhancing the comfort and sustainability of garments. DOWN FEEL WA 150LB is an ultra-lightweight, loose fibre thermal insulation that provides exceptional loft, while FIBERBALL WB 400LB utilizes clusters of ultra-fine fibres to deliver optimal breathability, minimal clumping and maximum comfort.

With both products carrying the GRS-certified and OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 Class I certifications, Freudenberg ensures their products are crafted using 100% GRS-certified rPET fibres, customizable to specific fill levels. Additionally, the low-level BPA content in these products is less than 1 ppm, meeting OEKO-TEX®’s stringent standards for customer safety.

Merry Chen, Head of Global R&D and Product Compliance at Freudenberg Performance Materials Apparel, expressed the company’s commitment to satisfying market demands for safer and responsible products without compromising quality or performance.

The House of Sustainability (HoS) is Freudenberg Apparel’s initiative aimed at supporting customers in building a more sustainable apparel industry. With over 500 innovative solutions, the HoS provides a comprehensive range of applications to shape a sustainable future. The recent addition of DOWN FEEL WA 150LB, FIBERBALL WB 400LB, and HO 80xR to the comfortemp range in Europe further underscores Freudenberg’s dedication to sustainable design practices.

HO 80xR, another highlight in the European line, is a thermal insulation made from recycled polyamide six derived from plastic waste, including fishing nets, carpet flooring, and industrial plastic. Designed to be easily recycled and reused, this product showcases Freudenberg’s commitment to environmental sustainability and circular design principles.

With the launch of these advanced thermal insulation products, Freudenberg Performance Materials Apparel reinforces its position as a market leader in delivering innovative and sustainable solutions to the apparel industry.
