The first Screen Print Uzbek / Garmentech Uzbek 2019 was held from 28-30 May 2019 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. There were 29 stalls representing over 40 international brands from India, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Poland, Greece, Taiwan, Italy, Germany, Korea, Japan, China, USA, etc. The exhibition also attracted footfalls from neighbouring countries
such as Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan and Turkmenistan. An industrial tour was also organised for the Indian and Chinese exhibitors who visited some of the leading textile companies. Attache, Embassy of India in Tashket, Santosh Kumar along with other officials visited the exhibition. He was taken around and introduced to
various Indian exhibitors. The Indian official assured all possible help required by Indian businessmen for promoting trade in Uzbkestan. The Expo was jointly inaugurated on Day-1 of the event by Davrug D. Inogamdjanov, Deputy Head of Textile Division, Uzbekistan Textile and Garment Industry Association (UTGIA); Ivashenko, Representative of Chamber of Commerce & Industry of Taskhent City (CCITC); Angelo Barzaghi, Textile Screen Printing expert from Italy; Devrim Basar Turan,
Turan Kimya, Turkey, and Devang Sheth, Director of Vibgyor Expositions,
Addressing the gathering Inogamdjan (UTGIA) said: “The textile industry in Uzbekistan is moving on a growth path and looking forward to expand its global presence. “And exhibitions such as Screen Print Uzbek / Garmentech Uzbek, focusing on garment printing and textile finishing technologies will go a long way in giving Uzbekistan textile industry a much needed exposure to new developments in technologies offered by
In his address, Ivashenko stated” “The Chamber of Commerce & Industry of Taskhent City thanked the organizers for holding their first Screen Print Uzbek expo and assured whatever assistance needed by them in future.” And Angelo Barzaghi, a textile screen printing expert, who came all the way from Italy said that he was happy to be invited by the exhibition organizer to hold practical demonstrations of hybrid printing.
While welcoming all the exhibitors and visitors Devang Sheth said: “The Uzbekistan is a growing textile market and this exhibition is a great platform to explore the market potential.” On behalf of Vibgyor Expositions, Esmeralda Ablyaeva, Director of ‘Expo Tour Group’ (ETG) Tashkent, welcomed the exhibitors and the visitors in local language.
Major products displayed were: Automatic Textile screen printing machines and related IR dryers, DTG, direct to textile printing, sublimation printing papers and machines, dryers, print and cut heat transfer vinyl film, screen printing mesh, screen making chemicals, sewing equipment, dyes and chemicals for textile sector, etc.
Indian exhibitors such as Hi-Tech Marketing, Lakshmi Bio Chem, Apan Imex, Bi-Ki Dyes, Raja Dye Chem, Mahickra Chemicals, Sudeep Inds, VapChem, Zebo Paper. Some of the exhibitors expressed their satisfaction and said that they look forward to participate in future editions as well. They said that Uzbekistan is an upcoming market, hence there is lot of potential for growth and expansion in the textile/garment sector. In the words of S. Thiruvengadathan, Lakshmi BioChem, Tirupur: “The show was exclusive for textile printing industry. We being Textile screen printing inks manufacturers in India participated in the expo. Though the exhibition was held for the first time in this country, it was organised in a professional way and the response was fairly good. The textile Industry has huge scope in this country and I am sure the coming edition of the
show will give us more fruitful results.”
The show was organised by Vibgyor Expositions in cooperation with Expo Tour Group, Tashkent, headed by Esmeralda Ablyaeva. The exhibition was supported by Uzbekistan Textile and Garment Industry Association (UTGIA); Chamber of Commerce & Industry of Taskhent City, and Screenprinting & Graphics Association of India (SGAI). And Turkey based Turan Kimya, a leading textile ink manufacturer, was the Lead Supporter of the Show.
