Odisha attracts investment intent worth Rs.11,500 Cr at investors’ meet

India’s Odisha state recently garnered investment intent worth nearly Rs.11,500 crore with an employment potential of over 31,500 at a two-day investors’ meet in Bengaluru that it hosted with a focus on textiles, apparel and technical textiles.
A delegation led by state chief secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena met several senior investors from the sectors as well as from the logistics and green energy sectors.
Principal secretary of handloom, textiles and handicrafts department Arabinda Kumar Padhee spoke about the emerging textile and technical textile ecosystem in the state, according to media reports from the state.
The state implemented the Apparel and Textile Policy 2022 to attract fresh investments into the sector.
