According to Sunil H Talati, chairman of the Services Export Promotion Council, “the government believes that all service industries are self-sufficient and can generate healthy foreign exchange (forex) profits without the need for incentives.”
Why should the services sector be ignored if the government is providing production-linked incentive schemes to other production sectors? The market is competitive on a global scale when it comes to the manufacture of goods. Numerous countries are competing with India.
