The Mous Worth Rs.9852 Cr has been signed on a single day on Monday. The industries have pledged investments in manufacturing, chemicals, agrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, farm equipment, hydrogen and electric auto-rickshaws which come under the Atmanirbhar scheme of the government.
There are 18 MoUs for the investment which started industries at different places in the state in the presence of the CM. The Garden Silk Mills Pvt Ltd signed an MoU of Rs.2533 crore which will produce fully drawn yarn, polyester chips at Jolva village in Palsana Taluka, Surat. The unit will also provide employment to 1,450 people.
Asian paints will be starting a VMV manufacturing plant in Dahej, Bharuch with a capital investment of Rs.2100 crore. The plant will also employ 350 people. The Mankind Life Sciences Pvt Ltd will be investing Rs.1100 crores at Vadodara and create job opportunities for 1,000 people.
The units which have signed MoUs will be operational since 2023. The units will be set up in Vadodara, Ahemdabad, Bharuch, Surat, Kutch and Sabarkantha. As per a statement made, “These 18 MoUs will result in a potential investment of Rs.9,852 crore and 10,851 proposed employment opportunities. Of these, MoUs worth Rs.5,733 crores have been signed with the participation of foreign investors”.
